On June 12, 2024 the Oakland County Board of Commissioners served its notice to the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes and Energy (EGLE) Materials Management Division to accept the role of County Approval Agency (CAA) and the responsibility to prepare and implement a single-county Materials Management Plan (MMP) for Oakland County Solid Waste Management.
